Mac was getting pretty used to these lazy Sunday's. She was definitely a fan.
It mostly involved Cally and brownies and bad television.
At least two out of three of those things were undoubtedly awesome.

Mac had spent Christmas alone for the first time ever. She didn't really have the motivation at the moment to make it any different. She supposed she could've gone out and seen if there was anything going on in town, she just hadn't really been in the mood.
She had at least, made a roast in honour of the occasion. It was just something that needed to be done. Now was leftovers time, in the form of a turkey and mayo sandwich, which she was eating as she lounged and watched a kids movie involving fish on TV.

Mac had spent far too much time lately cooped up indoors.
She was remedying that today, by actually getting outside. As much as being on her own roof could be labeled 'getting outside' anyway.
She was set up with a couple of old sun loungers for her and Cally, and a large tub of ice cream for a lazy afternoon.
[[ooc: Mac's there for Cally, but it's open for anyone else who might have a reason to be visiting/up on their roof.]]

Mac was only just beginning to realise just how arrogant she'd been the last few days.
She was trying to drown out this realisation with large amounts of television. It wasn't really helping much, however pretty the characters were, and she was mostly preoccupied wondering when Cally was going to get back, and if a simple apology was going to cut it.

Something about getting a job, had finally reminded Mac she really did need to start thinking about the future now. A year out wasn't as long as all that, and applications would have to be made sooner rather than later.
The apartment was all quiet for the moment, and she was settled on the bed browsing a few different potential colleges.

Today, was not a day for work, Mac had decided. Honestly, she decided that rather a lot lately.
She'd placed herself conveniently under the nearest air conditioning vent and was fiddling with something that gave the odd little bleeping noise.

So, it was definitely too hot to be out and about during the day as far as Mac was concerned.
At night, now that wasn't so bad. It was still hot, there was no denying that. But the air was fresh enough three stories up for Mac to be happy enough to be sitting on a spare sun lounger and enjoying the evening. Overcast though it was, it was still pretty. Very, very quiet, but that was no bad thing, really.

Something about knowing she had someone moving in, really kicked Mac into gear enough to finally get the last of the bits she hadn't yet got around to organising packed neatly away.
Even now Cally was here, and all her things were here, Mac couldn't help but keep wandering around and moving things from place to place. She might be just a little bit nervous, since she's now straightened the same pile of books about three times.
